Terms and Conditions

General Information

  • All final exams must be taken with a proctor.
  • The course must be active. All renewal fees apply.
    • Students DO have until the end of the business day to take a test, so if the unit expires before the end of the day while they are trying to take their test, you may extend the unit until the end of the day so they can take their test without having to pay to renew. See “Manually Extending a Unit” for instructions on how to do this
  • All course work submitted and passing with a 70% or higher in order to test.
  • Once the test is taken, all grades are locked in and no coursework may be resubmitted.
  • Courses are not “Complete” until a student passes a test.
    • They will not receive credit in Skyward until the final test is taken and passed.
  • Exams are closed book and closed notes.
    • For students with IEPs, they will work out accommodations with the proctor and their Special Ed teacher and potentially our director.
  • When needed, students may use translation services on proctored final exams.

Failed Test Retakes

  • Students have a limit of three exam attempts and must wait at least 1 business day between attempts.
    • The purpose of this is to give students the chance to study the material again and to prevent cheating
    • After the third attempt, students will be required to restart the course, although the student may speak with the director to get permission for a 4th attempt.
  • If the student fails, they have up to one school year after last working on it to retest.
  • Unit must be active. All renewal fees are applicable.

Passed Test Retakes

  • When a student retakes an already passed exam for a better score, they must inform the Help Desk so their grade can be manually changed in Skyward. See the article Allowing a Retry on a Passed Exam for more information
    • Please remind proctors and students of this when releasing their exam
  • Students have up to 1 term from when they first tested to retake an already passed exam
    • If it has been longer than one term since they took the exam, they must redo the whole unit to get the higher grade
  • Unit must be active. All renewal fees are applicable
  • Students also only have three test attempts total for retaking a passed exam

Use of Calculators

  • Calculators are permitted on Math and Finance Tests. These MUST be physical calculators, online calculators are not allowed.
