Assignment Due Dates

  • Each assignment will have a due date next to it on the grades page.
  • These due dates are NOT mandatory.
  • They are suggested dates to keep the student on track to finish before their class expires. 
  • Remember they still need to follow the expiration date or purchase an extension. 

Cheating

East Shore Online has a strict policy when it comes to plagiarism or other forms of cheating. Cheating includes but is not limited to using another person’s work, having another person do your work, copying from the internet without correctly citing sources, using notes or devices while taking a final proctored test, and having a browser window open while taking the final proctored test. It is important to understand continued plagiarism or cheating may result in removal from the class and/or revoked access to East Shore Online.

Students who violate the cheating policy will be subject to the following:

First Offense = DC coordinator or teacher verbally warns the student.
Second Offense = DC coordinator or teacher verbally warns the student and will notify the student and parent/guardian in an email with ESO Principal cc’d.
Third Offense = DC coordinator or teacher verbally warns the student and will notify the student and parent/guardian in an email with the ESO Principal cc’d. ESO Principal will inactivate the curriculum unit(s) and call a parent/guardian to discuss offense and put a plan in place.
Fourth Offense = DC coordinator or teacher verbally warns the student and notifies ESO Principal. ESO Principal will inactivate all curriculum units and contact the parent/guardian. ESO Principal will also contact the student’s school. Activation in ESO is suspended with possible removal evaluated.

  • Green check marks are to show a student has visited a page.
  • They do NOT mean the assignment is completed.

Civics Testing Information

  1. Use Skyward username
  2. Use lunch number as the password
  3. They can test at home and retest as many times as they would like

Contacting the Help Desk

  • For help with technical difficulties, general questions, adding new courses, or other course/ registration related questions send a chat or email to [email protected]
  • Be sure to always include as much information as possible including the student’s name, link to account “Details”, and information regarding your question or request. 
  • If it is a course related question make sure the student contacts their teacher first (teacher contact information is available in the “Introduction” section of their course. 

Course Statuses

Active

  • Currently working on course
  • Expired but has not been inactivated yet

Inactive/ Withdrawn (No Score)

  • Cheated
  • Never paid
  • Expired
  • No longer needed

Course Survey

Students must complete the course survey (if included in their course) before taking their final test.

Extensions/Renewals

Student View:

  1. Log in to “My Account” on the main website eastshore.alpineschools.org
  2. Select “Orders” from the left. 
  3. Find the expired course or registration.
  4. Select the option to purchase again or re-subscribe for the desired course.
  5. Go to  “Checkout Now” 
  6. Enter payment information. 

*If this does not work they must call the Help Desk for help over the phone. 

Incentive Program

For every course a student completes within 30 days of initially enrolling in it they get another one free. 

This can be redeemed through chat or by phone and a coupon code will be given.

Redeeming Free Courses

  • Send Help Desk a chat with the student’s link, name. course they finished, and course they want. 
  • If the student is redeeming more than one course please send the request as an email.
  • Please send only one request at a time through chat or send an email if you have a list of students.

Registering/ Buying a New Course

Student View
To register:

  1. Go to our home page on eastshore.aplineschools.org
  2. Select “Register Now” (or sign into “My Account”
  3. Login if an account has already been made or register if new to East Shore.
  4. Select “Courses”
  5. Select desired course(s)
  6. Select “Checkout” when ready
  7. You will be prompted to pay at this point. There is a $100 yearly registration fee and $5 course fee.

 If Using the School Card

  • Be sure to use the name of the school and the school’s information when filling out the billing portion.
  • Use your email address to receive a receipt.
  • If you do not receive a receipt within 15 minutes then please chat the Help Desk so it can be resent.

Teacher Feedback

Student View

  1. Select Course
  2. Select left side menu (3 vertical lines in top left corner)
  3. Select “Grades” 
  4. Click on the assignment’s grade percentage or the speech bubble next to it.
  5. If there is feedback or a retry available it will show here. 

Test Requests

  1. Make sure the student’s assignments are all turned in and have a passing score.
  2. Make sure the student’s registration and course are not expired. 
  3. Copy the link to the student’s home page (Details). Example: https://learn.agilixbuzz.com/admin/11668760/users/73137961/details This link can be copied from the browser at the top of the student’s account that you are helping. You will need to be signed into Buzz to access this.
  4. Send the link along with the student’s name and their course to the chat for [email protected]

Test Retakes

  • Students have a total of 3 exam attempts before they must re-enroll in the course.

Once a student has completed a retake they MUST contact the Help Desk so the score can be updated in Skyward.
